The Why
Steelpoint Performance Coaching
Slicing Through Work's Challenges

The Why
Broadly speaking everyone benefits from coaching, whether it's a desire to sustain what is working very well, enhance what needs to be improved or correct what needs to be replaced. Engaging a qualified professional coach to work with a highly-skilled demotivated employee, or a poorly performing highly motivated employee, or any combination of skill + will, can produce measurable benefits — increased productivity and engagement — for the individual as well as the organization.

Time and again, our Transdisciplinary Coaching methodology, blending transformational, transitional, and transactional processes, has enabled individuals and teams to achieve what we all seek — enhanced performance and fulfillment in our professional and personal lives.

"Employees' continued development is too important to relegate to the back burner, and partnering with an external coach can greatly augment the limited time that managers can devote to coaching." — Robin Wynn, Managing Director and Global Head of Employee Relations at Blackstone

The How
Performance Coaching — the art and science of helping a business professional do what they do better — begins with a thorough assessment of the client’s entire situation: the environment in which they work (the culture/context), and their own style, personality and behavior we use a variety of methodologies and instrumentation, often including MyriadINSIGHTS™, our proprietary 360 Multi-Rater Feedback Assessment.

MyriadINSIGHTS™ offers a unique and highly effective two-fold process: a quantitative component where feedback is gathered through an online survey and a qualitative component in which a live interview is conducted by a member of our team. This highly in-depth assessment affords the client a customized report, identifying perceived strengths and deficiencies (as perceived by self and others), blind spots and hidden strengths, excess reliance on particular strengths and potential derailers if not corrected.

Based on the results obtained from our proprietary assessment, or any other of the many evaluation tools that we are certified to administer, or simply feedback we have gathered, an engagement plan is formulated with the client and their manager containing specific, measurable, aligned, realistic, and time-bound goals and expectations. Once done, the work begins: regularly scheduled formal sessions, incidental transactional sessions, measurement of progress, and ultimately the conclusion of the formal engagement with the availability of ongoing, informal coaching thereafter.
